This is the debut album from Portrait Black a Metal band from Peoria, IL with a heavy melodic edge. The band started as a solo project created by Steve Montgomery and eventually became a 2 member recording project. Terry Richards who was a former member of his band Widow's Offering came in and co-wrote 2 songs Not Alone and My Dying Wish. Later Guitar virtuoso Ryan Keane joined and as Terry left for another project. Ryan re-recorded all the songs on guitar/bass including writing a new one call 'Dead Rising', a zombie tribute song. A total of six songs from my demo were re-recorded for this album and soon after Ryan Keane moved back to Chicago where he was from. He is now playing in a band called Cryptic Oath, find them on Facebook here:

Terry is now playing in a band call War Hammer and Steve Montgomery is presently still recording 2 solo projects called DARKMOOD and SDM.
